On-Site national Short-Term Consultants

assist WHO clinical management team to support Ministry of Health on the ongoing clinical management improvement of COVID-19 (From April to October 2022 (120 working day, 5 days per week)

 Objectives of the programme:

This consultancy, based in Vientiane, Lao PDR, will assist WHO clinical management team to support Ministry of Health on the ongoing clinical management improvement of COVID-19.

Description of the duties: Assist the main consultant in:

• Meetings with WHO country office and MoH
• Assisting international consultants on clinical management
• Conducting trainings and monitoring of health providers
• On-site technical support of the hospitals
• Translation of documents on clinical management

Specifically:

• Assist WHO clinical management team to support MOH on ongoing daily issues in clinical
• Assist WHO clinical management team to support MOH on trainings on clinical management and IPC in isolation facilities and quarantine facilities
• Assist WHO clinical management team to support MOH on onsite improvement support on clinical management and IPC in isolation facilities and quarantine facilities

Knowledge and Skills:

Education:

• Qualifications required: University degree in medicine  
• Qualifications preferred:

Experience:

• Essential:
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical work
  • Working experience in teaching and training

Language:  Fluency in English and Lao is required

Other skills: Adult learning / hands-on training skills
