(Re-advertised) Special Service Agreement (SSA) to provide technical support in the areas of infection control and prevention (IPC)
(Special Service Agreement, for an initial period of 7 months)
Purpose of the Post:
Description of Duties:
He/she will work under overall guidance from the Coordinator for Health Systems to provide support to the relevant Ministry of Health (MoH) departments and hospitals.
Output 1: Coordination with MoH for consultation meetings
Deliverable 1.1: Meeting notes for the consultation meetings
Output 2: Support for the implementation of IPC training at the central and sub-national levels
Deliverable 2.1: Concept note of the IPC training
Deliverable 2.2: Training reports for IPC training
Education:
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in social science and related area
Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in a health related field
Knowledge & skills:
- Ability to learn new topics in a proactive manner.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and to deliver high-quality work on-time.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge in standard MS Office applications including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
Experience:
Essential: At least two years of work experience in a health related field or any other area that may help implementation of the IPC activities.
Desirable: Experience in working with government, non-government and/or with regional or international organizations.
Language:
- Good knowledge of English in speaking, reading and writing
· Expert knowledge of Lao in speaking, reading and writing.
