What is the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)? It is a new strain of a large family of coronaviruses – viruses which cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases. It was first reported in Wuhan, China in 2019.
How is it transmitted? It is transmitted between animals and people as well as from person to person, including through respiratory routes.
