Purpose of the Post:
This consultancy will support developing strategies and guidance on COVID-19 vaccination and Routine Immunization Strengthening.
Description of Duties:
Under the supervision of the Vaccine-Preventable Disease & Immunization (VDI) Team Lead and the management of the WHO Representative, the Consultant will be responsible for delivering the
following:
Output 1: Strengthen the capacity of Ministry of Health personnel, developing appropriate strategies to successfully introduce COVID-19 vaccinations and improve routine vaccination coverage in most high-risk areas.
- Deliverable 1.1: work closely with NIP to support develops materials for decision making for the NITAG and ICC
- Deliverable 1.2: Support in reviewing and updating training materials for COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization
Output 2: Programme Management assisting with all aspects of COVID-19 vaccination-related programme funding support to WHO especially funding support from USAID and DFAT
- Deliverable 2.1: review expenditure and potential re-programming of COVID-19 vaccination funding
- Deliverable 2.2: documentation of the COVID-19 vaccination programme for reporting proposes
Output 3: supervision and monitoring of COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization activities.
- Deliverable 3.1: work closely with NIP on revising and updating COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization supportive supervision tools
- Deliverable 3.2: participate in supportive supervision and monitoring activities
Knowledge & Skills:
- Highly motivated, creative, good team player, and maintain a sense of professionalism
- Good written and spoken the English language
Education:
Bachelor's degrees focus on health or related
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience working on COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization programme. Updated knowledge of the COVID-19 vaccination programme and vaccines at global and national levels. Experience working with UN agencies or NGOs is desirable.
Languages:
- Written and spoken fluency in English is essential.
