WHOOn-Site Short-Term Consultant for Data Management (Quality Health Care)
(From June 2022 to April 2023)
Objectives of the programme:
The consultant is expected to assist the government in data collection and analysis using DHIS2 and in building the government's capacity for data management related to hospital accreditation.
Description of the duties:
- Communicate with the standard assessment team and the QHC secretariat to manage the data in DHIS2 collected by the assessment teams
- Support to collect the high-quality data
- Support to compile data from each facility and produce results at regional and national levels
- Support to extract data as requested.
- Assist in the reporting of assessment results at the national level
- Support to evaluate data quality and provide appropriate feedback to relevant departments to resolve issues.
- Continuously communicate with the supervisor and the WHO reproductive maternal child health team
- Developing quality standards in health care facilities
- Developing a hospital accreditation scheme based upon the quality standards
- Conducting external assessments at health care facilities against the quality standards
- Supporting in developing and implementing quality improvement plans for health care facilities
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge in primary health care system
- Profound knowledge in data management and statistics
- Strong knowledge and skills in Microsoft products and a statistic software
- Basic knowledge in data visualization and /or data-related programming is preferred
Education:
- Qualifications required:
- University degree in health-related areas or data science
Experience:
- Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in health research and/or data management
- Working experience in healthcare field is an asset
Language:
- English is required (high intermediate or higher)
